Can I send SMS as well as receive?

Two-way SMS is on every HushSMS line at every term. Send and receive: no upgrade charge, and outbound works through the REST API. Some providers sell receive-only lines and do not mention it until you try to reply.
The longer version
Outbound is harder to operate than inbound, which explains its quiet omission. Sending costs per message, invites abuse, and in several countries the sender must register before traffic routes. These are real constraints, but they apply to the route, not the customer tier. Charging for outbound therefore is a pricing decision in technical disguise. When a specific destination applies its own rules to application-originated traffic, every provider must obey that carrier rule.
