Pricing and terms

Is a longer term cheaper?

Answer

Substantially. Twelve months carries a 0.68 multiplier against the monthly rate at HushSMS — a 32% cut in the effective monthly price — because a line that does not get reprovisioned every thirty days costs less to run. Three months is 0.88 and six is 0.80, and none of the terms auto-renew.

The longer version

The discount reflects an actual cost curve rather than a lock-in incentive, which is why it is published as a multiplier instead of a promotion. Each provisioning cycle consumes stock, carries a churn risk and touches a carrier relationship; a line left in place does none of that. There is a second reason to take the longer term that has nothing to do with price. Services that re-verify — WhatsApp, Instagram, anything doing a suspicious-login check — will eventually ask again, and the only thing that makes that a non-event is still holding the number when they do.
